The legible logo
The logo of Al-Butana University consists of an open white book in the centre of the emblem, which signifies the educational mission of the institution. The authentic environment of the Butana plain is represented by a yellow camel in the middle of the logo, as well as by the Acacia (siyal) tree with its deep-rooted trunk in the upper part of the emblem. The university's contribution to community development, represented by health and technological services, is indicated by a red crescent and two blue orbits. The black structure bearing the year of the university's foundation represents the institution's ability to drive and shape future visions based on scientific research and excellence in Sudan. As for the cultural diversity in which Al-Butana University plays a rewarding role, this is denoted by the university's name in both Arabic and English on either side of the emblem.
